Important - Studio Terms and Policies - Please read and digitally sign that you understand our studio and premises policies and agree to adhere to them before your appointment.

Fees and Cancellations.

The session fee is due at the time of booking of your photoshoot session. Session fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, however with notice it can be rescheduled in case of an emergency.

If you or a family member are sick on the day of the session please call the studio to reschedule. If you try to keep the appointment, we will most likely terminate your session and request that you reschedule, if we notice you or a family member is sick. Sick or uncomfortable people do not like to be photographed and we know that you will not love your portraits nearly as much, as if he or she was in good health.

In the event that the photographer is ill and not able to attend your photo shoot, you will be contacted with as much notice as possible and your photo shoot will be rescheduled. You will be offered the first available session, please note this may not be the same day of the week as your original session.

Taking Images and video in the studio prohibited.

Personal cameras are not allowed in studio during your session. Please refrain from taking i-phone/Smartphone images or video recording. We work very hard to ensure your session is captured artistically and creatively. We ask that you respect our livelihood and refrain from taking photographs, of what we are creating for you.

Your Photo-shoot and importance of arriving on time.

It is important that you allow extra time to travel to the Studio, this particularly important when you have young children or babies.

When you first arrive at the Studio, we will have a quick talk about the structure of your photoshoot and any ‘housekeeping’ information, that will make your time with us safer and more comfortable.

Young children or babies - where possible we try to provide a welcoming and relaxed introduction to our Studio, for any children attending the photo-shoot. This may include children’s TV, a few toys to play with and books to look at or read. We often find that ‘little one’s’ sometimes need 10-15 minutes to adjust to the unfamiliar surroundings and people at the Studio. While we talk to the parent(s) about the photo-shoot, we usually start by trying to gently interact with your children and encourage play, to help them settle in.

Getting The Best Results from your Photo-shoot.

We always try to provide a relaxed and welcoming environment for your family. Sometimes, despite our best efforts, children don’t settle into their photoshoot. This is why, it is particularly important that parent(s)/guardians get actively involved in their photoshoot; we encourage parents to think of any songs, games, toys, gestures, nursery rhymes etc that help your child or children smile or look interested and engaged. As photographers, we can only photograph what is in front of us and we cannot guarantee pleasing expressions from your family or children. Therefore, it is really important that parents/guardians get involved, as they know and trust you the most.

Newborn Photo-shoots - our newborn sessions can take up to around 4 hours, so it’s important you bring food and drink for your family. Please note, to photograph your newborn baby, baby must be asleep. If baby wakes, we will give them back to you to feed, comfort and help back to sleep again.

YouDeserveThis Photography Studio, (yourfamilydeservethis.com, youdeservethisheadshots, youdeservethis.com) and its representatives will not be held liable for any injury incurred by you or your family, or any damage to your property during the photo session or while on studio premises. Any damage caused by you, your family or your group to photographic equipment, lighting or display equipment will be paid for immediately by you,.

Viewing and Order Session.

You will view your portraits via an online gallery. Online Galleries are available for 1 month only and additional uploads once expired will incur a £35 fee.

While Michelle and Charlie - YouDeserveThis Photography Studio do capture many images during your session, you will see only those images selected by us, the artist, for previewing.

After your photoshoot, we select the very best images for editing.

We carefully render each image to ensure maximum artistry and technical perfection. Images with eyes closed (blinking), heads turned, duplicates, etc. will not be shown and are removed from my archives permanently after the artist rendering is complete.

We then upload them to a personal gallery for your viewing. You choose your favourites from your online gallery. The number of images depends on the package you selected at the time of purchase. Extra images can be purchased at an additional cost or if applicable, you can upgrade to the another package.

Print products can also be purchased, please ask for details.

Editing of your images - Please note at busy times for our Studio or times of ill-health to either Michelle or Charlie, it can take up to 4-10 weeks to edit your images. We always do our utmost to get your images to you as quickly as we can.

Cancellation of print product orders.

Due to the custom nature of the work, payment for your order must be placed in full and is subject to a 50% cancellation fee should you change your mind about an order after it is placed. Once an order is sent to the lab or digital files are submitted to the client either by CD, USB, electronic transfer or email, the order is deemed non refundable. Payments may be made cash, Visa, MasterCard or PayPal Invoice.

If applicable - Design work and custom graphics will be approved for colour and layout in-person, on our professionally colour calibrated monitors at the ordering appointment. Only font style, spelling and wording may be approved through electronically emailed proof. Requests for reprints due to colour shift on emailed proofs will not be honoured.

Order fulfilment and delivery of printed products.

Please allow 4 weeks for your order to be completed. Some orders may take longer. Your portraits are an investment and an heirloom that should not be rushed. You will be notified by telephone or e-mail when your order is ready for pickup. If you are unable to pick up your order, we can ship your order to you for an additional charge.

Image archive and re-orders.

All ordered images are kept on file for a period of 1 year. Un-ordered images are removed from our archives immediately.

Copyright and reputation.

The Copyright Act protects photographers by giving us the exclusive right to reproduce your photographs. Violations include, but are not limited to, making illegal copies, scanning, printing from home or downloading from our website. It is illegal to copy or reproduce these photographs in any manner without our permission and violators of this Law will be subject to its civil and criminal penalties. Please understand, the photographer wishes to maintain complete control over the print quality, finishes and presentation of the images and any reproduction outside of the studio may lower the quality of the image and scar our reputation for providing superior portraits.

Scope of Studio Policy and Terms

By completing the Studio Policies Agreement Form below and selecting you "agree" to abide to these policies and terms and also that you agree that you are wholly responsible for the members of your family or group whilst on our premises and that you will communicate the Studio Policies and Terms to all members of your family or group. You agree that you are entirely responsible for immediate payment of any damages caused by your family or group.
